How many people do you need for dragon boating?
A maximum of 20 people fit into a dragon boat. 12 to 18 people is the ideal crew-size.
How much does a dragon boat event cost?
The price depends on the location, the number of participants and the duration of the event. Simply fill in our non obligation offer form and receive a guideline offer immediately.
Where do dragon boat trips take place?
Anywhere, as long as the relevant stretch of water is still-standing or gently flowing. We are happy to travel to you and your desired location.
What sort of clothing should be worn during dragon boating?
Dragon boating is a recreational sport during which you get wet – even if you don’t capsize. We therefore advise our clients to bring along clothing which they don’t mind getting wet. In good weather you can wear swimwear, a T-shirt and flip-flops, or go barefoot. In cooler weather tracksuit bottoms, sweaters, water-proof jackets and trainers are appropriate.
Can we capsize?
Yes, dragon boats can capsize. However, as long as you follow the guidelines issued by dragonboatevents.ch, the chances of capsizing are minimal – it happens very rarely.
What sort of safety measures are in place?
Each participant wears a life-jacket. We are also accompanied at every event by a motorboat – no exceptions are made. If a dragon boat capsizes, the motorboat is on the scene immediately.
Are children allowed to participate in dragon boating as well?
Sure. Dragon boating poses no problems for kids of 12 and above.
What about the people who don’t want to get into the dragon boat? What do they do at an event?
If you give us enough notice, we can take along a second motor boat as an escort boat.
What do we do if it rains?
Dragon boating is an outdoor sport. In the middle of nature. Every lake and river has its charms – even if it is raining. From our experience we know that the weather has hardly any effect on the fun factor. Therefore we go ahead with our events in all weathers.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance. The equipment is insured by dragonboatevents.ch.
What can we do after the dragon boating?
We are more than happy to organise a waterside BBQ, an aperitif or an evening meal in Eglisau in refined surroundings. Just as you wish.
